Welcome! I am a Church historian who teaches at St. Mary’s College, the Divinity School of the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. The title of the blog refers to an ancient Roman proverb, “Hasten slowly”, also a favourite of many Christian humanists, including Erasmus of Rotterdam. My hope in this blog is to share my thoughts as I move along my journey as a teacher and scholar of Christian spirituality and culture.
